Please use the College of Humanities and Socials Sciences (CHSS) Graduate Application Requirements chart to determine whether your program requires a standardized test as a part of the application process. Mason can accept only official scores sent directly from the testing agency to the university. Most test scores are valid for five years. The TOEFL is valid for two years. Additionally, once you have your score sent to Mason, Mason will retain the score in our system for only two years.
Standardized test information and registration bulletins are available on Mason’s Fairfax campus at the central Admissions Office in the Johnson Center, or you may obtain information and register online through the individual testing companies.
Note: When registering for the exam, use the appropriate institutional code to identify George Mason University; specific department codes are not necessary.
