Faculty Regalia

*Order by April 1
The Provost’s Office will pay the rental fee. (After April 1 you will be charged a $20 late fee.)

Faculty are required to wear regalia for each event.  You may rent regalia over the phone at (703) 993-3887 or in person at the University Bookstore.

Patriot Center

Schedule for Marshals

12:15p.m.: Arrive at the Patriot Center, Parking Lot A. Please look for your department's sign and meet your students. Check in with CHSS staff members. Look for the sign that says "Marshals".

Instructions for Faculty Marshals - Undergraduate Convocation

Schedule for Attending Faculty

1:00 p.m.: Please arrive and meet at the tent located on the SOUTH side of the Patriot Center. Look for the sign that says "Attending Faculty" and check in with CHSS staff members.  CHSS staff members will signal when it is time for you to process into the Patriot Center.  You will be directed to your seats.

Schedule for the Platform Party

1:00 p.m.: Please arrive and meet at the tent located on the SOUTH side of the Patriot Center. Look for the sign that says "Platform Party" where you may check in with CHSS staff members. You will process in following the graduating students. CHSS staff will signal when it is time for you to enter the Patriot Center and will let you know where to sit.

Center for the Arts

Schedule for Dissertation and Hooding Advisors

6:30 p.m.: Please arrive and meet in the Black Box Theatre, located off the plaza between Mason Hall and the Concert Hall in the Performing Arts Building. Check in here and robe for the ceremony. You should plan to remain in this area until the start of the convocation ceremony.

6:50 p.m.: Process into the Center for the Arts. Faculty marshals will lead you into the Convocation and will also signal you when it is time for you to proceed to the stage.

Schedule for Marshals and Attending Faculty

6:15 p.m.: Arrive at the plaza outside the Center for the Arts. Please check in with CHSS staff members. Look for the sign that reads "Faculty Marshals".  You will stand with your department's students and help them to process into the Center for the Arts.
